Checking an AI-generated response takes more than finding a source link. The exact claim, its qualifications and the final file all need attention. This checklist follows the response from source preparation to buyer delivery.

Use it with a redacted document pack and the same questions for each candidate. These are evaluation instructions, not the report of a completed product test.

## 7 elements to include in your checklist

Define the expected evidence before you inspect a generated draft. Record what the source supports and which conditions the answer must preserve.

### 1\. Define the response scope

Start with the buyer’s required output, product edition and decision owners. Write down which service and deployment the answer must describe. A source that is valid for another edition may still be unsuitable for this response.

### 2\. Compare and reconcile the sources

Collect approved documents and label their effective dates. If two sources disagree, resolve the conflict with the owner before using the generated wording. Keep the rejected version in a separate evaluation record.

**Key point.** A current-looking answer can still depend on an obsolete document. Resolve authority and freshness separately from writing quality.

### 3\. Define the approval structure

Assign technical, legal and security responsibility. Decide which questions a reviewer can approve and which must be escalated. A complete draft does not mean every commitment has been accepted.

### 4\. Plan the buyer’s final file

Preserve identifiers, worksheets, answer limits and attachments. Test the exported file early so formatting problems do not appear only after substantive review is complete.

### 5\. Do not skip evidence inspection

Read the passage behind each material claim. Illustrative example: a statement about backup retention on an Enterprise plan does not support saying all customers receive that retention. Check the source’s conditions.

### 6\. Revisit tone and reusable wording

Rewrite for clarity only after the factual scope is approved. Shortening can remove an exception, and a friendly tone can make an uncertain claim sound definite. Re-check material claims after the final rewrite.

### 7\. Maintain transparency through submission

Keep a list of unanswered questions and unresolved terms. Verify that the approved answer survives export and retain the final submission together with the evidence and approval record.

## Conclusion

A defensible evaluation records accepted answers, corrections and unresolved evidence. Prefer a reliable review path over a fluent first draft, and repeat failed questions after source changes.

The CSV contains eleven columns for question, expected source, qualification, evidence status, correction and final decision. Duplicate rows per product and keep your underlying source excerpts separately.
